Advance Notice. Admission is restricted to individuals conducting official business with our laboratories. The ARL:UT Security Visit Control Office must be informed in advance about scheduled visits. Notify your ARL:UT point of contact well ahead of time of your intent to visit the facility, or contact the ARL:UT Security Visit Control Office at 512-835-3701, Fax: 512-835-3730.

If you currently hold a security clearance through your organization, your security office may submit requests through the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) using SMO Code 55354. A DoD visit authorization letter may be faxed to ARL:UT Security Visit Control Office.

Identification. Visitors must present a valid government issued picture ID (i.e. passport, military ID, or state driver's license) upon arrival. Company IDs and credit cards are not acceptable forms of identification.

Restricted Items. Firearms or other dangerous weapons are prohibited unless specifically authorized by Title 18 United States Code, Section 930(c). Some visitor electronic devices or other material/equipment have restrictions on use or possession within ARL:UT facilities, and may need to be checked at the security desk during your visit.

Several dining options are located within walking distance, including the PRC Commons Learning Center Cafe which offers affordable, chef-prepared meals on-campus. The Domain and Domain Northside & Rock Rose, located directly north of campus, offer a variety of dining options that can be accessed via a longer walk, bus, or a very short drive.
